Quality Assurance & Systems Engineer Johnson Matthey
As additive manufacturing (AM) transitions from prototyping to production, the challenge is no longer printing parts—it’s ensuring repeatability, reliability, and data integrity across manufacturing environments. This presentation introduces a Quality 5.0 framework designed to embed ISO 9001:2015 and GMP-aligned quality management principles into AM workflows, ensuring consistent part quality and process compliance in high-stakes applications such as energy and catalyst manufacturing.
Drawing on practical implementation experience within Johnson Matthey’s advanced catalyst systems, the session outlines how digital quality architectures can harmonize AM process data, machine parameters, and inspection outputs into a traceable, closed-loop quality ecosystem. Using Power BI dashboards, SIPOC mapping, and predictive analytics, the model demonstrates how real-time monitoring and AI-enabled feedback can reduce process variability, accelerate qualification cycles, and strengthen regulatory readiness.
Attendees will gain a roadmap for integrating data integrity and process control directly into AM operations—bridging the gap between design, print, and verification. The framework also highlights the cultural and leadership elements of Quality 5.0, emphasizing how human judgment and digital intelligence together build trustworthy, scalable AM systems.
This session will benefit quality engineers, AM process developers, and operations leaders seeking to establish standards-based, digitally governed AM environments that support industrial-scale adoption.
