Sagar is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Multi-Scale Additive Manufacturing Laboratory at the University of Waterloo. His research focuses on process development and material development, specifically for laser-based additive manufacturing processes. Additionally, he works on custom beampath algorithm development for laser powder bed fusion. Previously, he has worked as a materials and build data preparation engineer at Nikon SLM Solutions in Luebeck, Germany. During his tenure at Nikon SLM, he worked with aerospace and automotive customers on niobium, aluminum, ferrous, and titanium alloy development for multiple applications.
