A member of the arc welding and directed energy deposition (DED) processes group at EWI since 2021, Logan has expertise in process automation & robotics, real-time control, and digital twin implementation across various processes and automation solutions. He performs robotic DED in a variety of OEM robotic cells (ABB, Fanuc, Motoman, CLOOS, UR, Kuka, OTC) with a variety of processes such as Arc and Laser. Logan in his time at EWI has focused on implementing Convergent Manufacturing (CM) throughout multiple processes at EWI. Within the work on CM, he has demonstrated capabilities in implementing complex path planning solutions for large scale Arc-DED as well as the necessary process automation to support system stability for manufacturing applications.
