Assistant Professor
Texas A&M University College Station
Dr. Chukwuzubelu Ufodike is an Assistant Professor and Charlotte and Walter Buchanan Faculty Fellow in the Department of Engineering Technology and Industrial Distribution at Texas A&M University. He holds courtesy appointments in Mechanical Engineering, Multidisciplinary Engineering, and the School of Engineering Medicine (EnMed). He directs the Digital Manufacturing and Distribution Lab at the Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station, where his team advances next-generation additive manufacturing and smart production systems.
Dr. Ufodike’s research focuses on AI-enhanced additive manufacturing, multiscale and thermofluid modeling, and computational design for advanced polymer and metal processes. His group, the Professor Ufodike Research Group, trains undergraduate, master’s, Ph.D., and postdoctoral researchers on physics-based and data-driven methods for process prediction and control. The team is recognized for high-fidelity computational and numerical modeling of melt pool behavior and polymer flow in Fused Filament Fabrication and Laser Powder Bed Fusion, with applications to aerospace, defense, and energy components.
He is also the founder of Blacks in Additive Manufacturing and the PrintLearn K–12 initiative, promoting broader engagement in manufacturing and engineering innovation.
