Graduate Student
University of Windsor
Dora Strelkova is a current Mechanical Engineering PhD student at the University of Windsor, with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and minors in Mathematics and Computer Science. Her recent research interests include exploring compliant mechanisms for robotic grippers, custom toolpath strategies for FDM/FFF Additive Manufacturing (AM), and the development of hybrid recycled resin materials, to name a few.
With prior roles as an AM Lab Technician (Valiant TMS) and Software Developer (CAMufacturing Solutions Inc.), Dora brings industry experience in a range of AM processes. This includes DLP, FDM/FFF, DMLM (with Stratasys and GE Concept Laser systems), and DED through toolpath design and simulation using CAMufacturing Solutions’ APLUS software. She holds the TBGA AM Certificate for Engineers and Managers from Purdue University and is a Certified Additive Manufacturing Technician (CAMT) through SME. Through personal projects, Dora has developed a deep familiarity with 3D printing, from short film props to fully 3D-printed shoes and unique multi-material origami. She continues to push the limits of AM and shares her projects on YouTube.
