Timothy J. Wilson, PhD, rejoined SME in 2025 as director of technology innovation and strategy. He is responsible for advancing technology-driven workforce solutions that align emerging technologies with industry needs and workforce development priorities. His work emphasizes strategy, program design and partnerships that strengthen SME’s role as a connector between technology innovation and talent growth. Wilson brings years of experience designing and implementing initiatives in human capital development that advance workforce readiness. With extensive expertise in data science, machine learning, and applied research, he has led high-impact projects that integrate artificial intelligence (AI) into real-world training, talent development, and decision-support systems. Wilson has advised government agencies, industry leaders, and academic institutions on leveraging AI to strengthen talent pipelines, improve operational efficiency, and foster economic growth. He holds a PhD in Education and Research from the University of Florida and a graduate certificate in Big Data Analytics and Data Science from the University of Texas at Austin.
