Connor Shimamoto is the Additive Manufacturing Manager at Sherpa Design, a vertically integrated product development firm based in Portland, Oregon. His work centers on design for additive manufacturing, CAD workflow development, and process development.
As Sherpa Design’s first dedicated additive manufacturing employee, Connor helped establish the company’s AM capabilities from the ground up, building workflows, training staff, and shaping the direction of Sherpa’s additive operations. Under his leadership, the department has expanded into a lean production operation supported by a growing team.
Connor’s recent work explores the post-machining of Carbon 3D printed parts and developing elastomeric wearable applications.
