Dr. Nanzhu Zhao is the manager of the Advanced Manufacturing & Sustainability Research Group at Nissan Technical Center North America. He has over 10 years of research & development experience across additive manufacturing, digital manufacturing, robotics and AI automation, EV battery manufacturing, and sustainable engineering. Dr. Zhao earned his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, focusing on Manufacturing & Design, and an MBA from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He holds over 15 patents and has more than 20 publications and invited presentations.
