Shapeways
Marleen is a co-founder of Shapeways and currently leads the company’s transformation into a premier digital manufacturing engine for next-generation devices. A US-based Dutch entrepreneur, she has built her career at the intersection of on-demand manufacturing, sustainability, and medical device innovation.
At Shapeways, she is driving the company’s vision to empower engineering teams building robotics, medtech, drones, electronics, and defense systems by enabling a seamless path from prototype to scalable production. Under her leadership, Shapeways is sharpening its focus on agile, low-volume, industrial-grade manufacturing that meets the demands of emerging device makers. Earlier, as COO in Shapeways’ original era, Marleen helped pioneer the world’s first upload-to-3D-print platform and scaled it into the largest 3D printing marketplace globally of the time — democratizing access to advanced manufacturing.
