Cassie Lowell is cofounder and Chief Product Officer of Studio 3e8, a Boston-based startup building desktop-sized metal 3D printers. Cassie grew up in the mid-Atlantic around traditional manufacturing, then moved to Boston to study Engineering at Harvard University. Cassie worked at Formlabs on both the print process and materials teams across both the SLA and SLS divisions (Form 3, 3L, Fuse 1, and associated materials). She has also led teams at companies like McMaster-Carr and Volta Labs, and cofounder a previous software startup (Cosmosii). She also taught the Intro to Making and Hardware Ventures course at MIT Sloan’s Martin Trust Center for Entrepreneurship. Outside of work, you can find Cassie judging and competing in international cosplay competitions, performing circus arts + fire spinning, teaching hands-on handicraft workshops, and training the family Newfoundlands to become water rescue dogs.
