Dr. Ramona Fayazfar, PhD, P.Eng., is Director of the Eco-Friendly Circular Advanced Materials & Additive Manufacturing (E-CAM) Lab and Founder & CEO of ReEarthMater Inc. With over 20 years of experience spanning materials science, additive manufacturing, and sustainability, she leads internationally recognized work on circular, low-carbon, and carbon-negative material systems. She is currently an Adjunct Research Professor at Western University and completed her postdoctoral training with the Multi-Scale Additive Manufacturing (MSAM) group at the University of Waterloo.
Her research focuses on developing, formulating, characterizing, analyzing, and qualifying circular and eco-friendly materials for additive manufacturing, including bio-augmented mixed waste plastics, sustainable packaging, carbon-negative mortars for 3D-printed construction, recycled and bio-based feedstocks, sustainable additive manufacturing of recycled critical metals, and 3D-printed nano- and wearable sensors for health and environmental monitoring. Dr. Fayazfar serves on ASTM’s ICAM Scientific Organizing Committee and as session chair in Sustainability, 3D Construction AM, and Circular Economy. Through ReEarthMater, she translates research into scalable industrial solutions, accelerating adoption of high-performance circular materials feedstock for next-generation regenerative, low-carbon manufacturing.
