Rui is an AI entrepreneur and systems architect specializing in the development of autonomous agents for complex, high-stakes industries. As the Founder and CEO of Cosmon, he is focused on engineering agents by applying advanced AI to solve critical automation and optimization challenges, principles directly applicable to intelligent manufacturing.
Previously, Rui was the Cofounder and CTO of Expedock, where he built and scaled the core technology to automate complex workflows in global logistics and manufacturing. His work digitizing an industry reliant on expert-driven processes, growing the company to process billions in volume for the world's largest manufacturing firms, provides deep expertise in solving the exact type of scaling and automation bottlenecks facing the additive manufacturing sector.
Rui's technical foundation was built at Stanford University, where he earned a Master's in Artificial Intelligence and a Bachelor's in Computer Science. His research in Professor Andrew Ng's Machine Learning Group on Deep Learning and Computer Vision provides a strong basis for the automated AI capabilities now emerging in advanced AM software.
