Assistant Professor
University of Delaware Center for Composite Materials
Dr. Kelvin Fu is an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Delaware and Director of the Composite & Additive Manufacturing (CAM) Lab. He pioneered 3D Fiber Tethering (3DFiT), a new composite additive manufacturing process enabling rapid fabrication of crash-resistant, lightweight structures for drones and vehicles using continuous fibers and thermoset resins. Dr. Fu also serves as Chief Scientist of CarbonForm Inc., a UD-spinoff advancing 3DFiT commercialization. His research spans architected materials, robotics-enabled manufacturing, and structural energy systems.
