João holds a Master’s degree in mechanical engineering and brings more than thirteen years of experience in the oil‑and‑gas sector, specializing in both non‑metallic and metallic materials as well as advanced technologies for petroleum applications. He's currently the technical lead of Saudi Aramco’s additive‑manufacturing team, where he oversees research, development, and implementation of 3D‑printing technologies in operations. In addition, João fulfills the role of vice‑chairman of the API 20T committee and the vice‑chairmanship of the IOGP Additive Manufacturing Experts Group, enabling him to develop global industry standards, promote best practices, and foster innovation across the sector.
