Matthew Herrmann is a Principal at The Roosevelt Group representing a wide range of clients on congressional appropriations and authorization matters, advanced technologies, and Indo-Pacific policy matters. Matt has helped a range of TRG clients successfully address their priorities on Capitol Hill and within DoD. He helped to secure the legislation, funding, and designation of the Army's Advanced Manufacturing Center of Excellence at Rock Island Arsenal. He has helped clients secure hundreds of million in funds for clients. Matt has helped develop TRG's additive and advanced manufacturing practice. Prior to joining the Roosevelt Group, Matt worked for more than 10 years on Capitol Hill and served as Chief of Staff to a Subcommittee Ranking Member of the House Armed Services Committee. He also has an extensive background in policy issues impacting the Indo-Asia-Pacific region. Matt holds a BA in Political Science and a MPA – both from American University. He also serves as an adjunct faculty member at AU teaching a course he developed titled “Politics & Policy in the Digital Age”.
