Chris is an R&D Engineer at re:3D with a Mechanical Engineering background from Rice University and UT Austin. At re:3D, Chris is considered the FGF printing expert and also a handy drafter with a knack for modeling in SolidWorks. Chris is leading the engineering efforts of the ReCreateIt project (NSF Convergence Accelerator Track I). In collaboration with Austin Habitat for Humanity ReStore, the team is collecting plastic waste from the ReStore's operations and 3D printing directly from the recycled feedstock, without any chemical modifications, using the Gigabot X FGF printer.
