Nowrin is currently an International Guest Researcher (Postdoctoral Fellow) at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). She earned her Ph.D. in Engineering Product Development from the Singapore University of Technology and Design, where her work integrated interdisciplinary studies in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) and Mechanical Engineering. Her research centers on AI-driven additive manufacturing, robotics, and intelligent control systems, with an emphasis on enabling adaptive and sustainable production processes. In addition to her research activities, she serves as Secretary for the Systems Engineering, Information, and Knowledge Management (SEIKM) track at ASME IDETC-CIE as part of the 2026 leadership team.
